Hugh MacDonald is one of the founders of Sunmac Investment Group AG The Group was formed to address the financial consultant and funding needs of the public and private sector worldwide. Hugh, strategy driven,  for over twenty years in the international engineering world in managerial roles in major civil engineering projects at investigation, planning, financing, design, construction, and post construction phases.  In particular, Hugh has engineering experience in:

·         Water and Sewage treatment facilities, Middle East and North America.

·         Highways, Bridges, North America.

·         Commercial and Residential development in North America.

·         Major highways, drainage, and bridgeworks in the United Kingdom, North America, and the Middle East.

·         Oil field installations including a port terminal in Africa.

·         Airport (civil and building), Seaports (incl. Jebel Ali, Dubai) Middle East and North America.

·         Major Highways in North America and the Middle East.

·         Light rail mass transit systems in Canada.

Expanding his international engineering experience he transitioned his focus into the financial and economic world. This initial focus was necessitated by engineering and development projects financial requirements.

Sunmac Investment Group AG initially created its financial culture and strength through the need of an additional tool to international market engineering services for projects by arranging finance. Engineering services are a by-product of arranging project finance.

Rashid A Al Sunaid commenced his business career as Commercial Manager for AA Turki Corporation (ATCO), one of the Saudi Arabian leading trading houses that have diversified business activities. Moving on he became Regional Director for ATCO Group in the Central Province, and later as Director for Honey Well Turki Arabia Ltd., a Joint Venture with USA firm Redland & Grey McKenzie, Saudi Arabia operation. He was also holding the portfolio of single bank signatory for all the ATCO Group Banking activities.

In 1981 he established Rashid Al Sunaid Group of Companies to participate in the development of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  The Group of Companies included:

• Dania Air Control Systems Manufacturers.

• Sunaid Manpower Bureau as Consultants for recruiting specialized manpower for Saudi Companies worldwide.

• Sunaid Telecommunications. In a Joint Venture Sunaid Telecommunications and Canac/Microtel, were a subsidiary company of Canadian National Railway and BC Tel of Canada. This Joint Venture had a close business relationship with Saudi Arabian Oil Company Ltd. (Saudi Aramco).  Involved in Contracts valued in excess of 500 million US dollars.
